The company’s leadership understands that growth must be strategic rather than simply expansive. By focusing on the kinds of projects it can touch directly and execute with excellence, TriBridge avoids the pitfalls of overextension. That deliberate philosophy is reflected in the work of Senior Vice Presidents of Construction Robyn Schoch and Chad Morrow, who joined TriBridge in 2023. Their arrival marked more than an organizational expansion; it represented a purposeful step toward capturing the opportunities emerging in the self-storage sector.
“Our focus is not on becoming the biggest,” Schoch explains. “We’d rather provide direct value by staying hands-on, ensuring every client feels our presence throughout the project, and making sure we’re delivering quality that keeps them coming back.”
A nontraditional journey into construction
For Schoch, the road to TriBridge and to leadership in construction began with an early interest in architecture. But while she loved design, she quickly realized she wanted to play a more active role in actually building the structures she envisioned. The pull toward construction became stronger as she sought ways to be closer to the process itself.

Her unconventional path included a career as a decorated amateur boxer, where she learned the discipline, resilience, and grit that would later serve her well on the job site. After stepping away from the ring, she pursued a degree in Building Construction Technology from Georgia Tech, laying a technical foundation to match her drive.
Schoch’s early career focused on the multifamily sector, where she worked for an ENR Top 30 General Contractor for the first 15 years of her career. By 2015, she saw the untapped potential of self-storage construction. At a time when storage was still largely considered a cottage industry, Schoch recognized its long-term growth potential. She teamed up with Morrow, who was working on the development side at the time, and they partnered on their first three climate-controlled storage facilities in the Metro Atlanta area. Those three projects put them both on a trajectory towards a long-term career in self-storage.
“The storage industry was changing fast, and I knew it was only going to grow,” Schoch recalls. “It was an opportunity to be part of something new, to shape how these projects were approached, and to bring the kind of professionalism we’d honed in multifamily construction into a new sector.”
Driving growth in self-storage construction
In 2023, TriBridge partner Mike McPhail approached Schoch about starting a new self-storage division. Schoch and Morrow put together a business, which the partners received well. The asset diversification provided by self-storage was enticing to TriBridge. The nascent self-storage division was off to a strong start, increasing gross revenue by 30% in 2024. TriBridge recognized the value immediately, and since then, self-storage has become a thriving part of the company’s business.

Today, Schoch and Morrow oversee numerous projects across the country, including completed work in South Florida and South Carolina, and ongoing developments in Georgia, Texas, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts. These aren’t cookie-cutter storage facilities, but Class-A buildings designed with the consumer in mind. Modern storage users demand a convenient location, safety, accessibility, and well-lit, attractive spaces. TriBridge is equipped to assist with entitlements, design assistance, permitting, and construction in challenging markets.
Morrow highlights the importance of timing in storage projects.
“Developers have to hit lease-up windows,” he explains. “If you miss the spring season, you can lose an entire year of lease-up velocity. That’s why we’re so focused on schedule, on communication, and on anticipating challenges before they become delays.”
That proactive approach has led to increased involvement in design-assist projects, where clients entrust Schoch and Morrow not just with construction but with leading the design process itself. By selecting design teams and shaping the project from the outset, TriBridge ensures a streamlined experience for clients and greater alignment between vision and execution. This responsibility reflects the trust they’ve earned and the reputation they’ve built for quality, reliability, and collaboration.
“We never stop learning,” Morrow says. “Every jurisdiction is different, every code evolves, and every project teaches us something new. But that’s part of what makes this work exciting.”
A culture of respect & shared success
For Schoch, the heart of construction isn’t just steel and concrete—it’s people. She is quick to credit her team for TriBridge’s success, emphasizing that every milestone is a collective achievement. That philosophy has shaped a culture of respect, where contributions are acknowledged and celebrated.

“We’re spread out across the country, but we make a point to connect weekly,” she says. “We celebrate wins—finishing projects, breaking ground, but also personal milestones like babies, marriages, and anniversaries. It builds a bond that carries us through the inevitable challenges of construction.”
That connection also extends to clients, who often face the stress of financing, deadlines, and lease-up goals. Schoch and Morrow emphasize over-communication as a way to build trust, ensuring clients are never left in the dark.
“Money is the ultimate stress point in construction,” Schoch notes. “Our job is to take as much of that burden off the client as possible by staying ahead, staying transparent, and keeping projects on track.”
Their leadership style is deeply hands-on. At any given time, they oversee between eight and ten projects, carefully staggered to ensure each receives direct attention. This balance allows TriBridge to grow at a sustainable pace while maintaining quality.
“Building a business is like constructing a building. You start with a solid foundation and go vertical at a rate that works for all involved.”
That philosophy aligns with TriBridge’s larger mission: to grow in ways that enhance value rather than dilute it. By focusing on quality over quantity and by aligning the storage and multifamily teams under a culture of collaboration, Schoch and Morrow are helping create a future where TriBridge is not only known for its projects but also for the relationships it cultivates.
What the future holds
TriBridge Construction’s future is bright, with opportunities continuing to expand in both multifamily and self-storage. Schoch and Morrow’s leadership ensures that the company is not just following trends but shaping them. Their ability to merge technical expertise with a culture of respect and collaboration has positioned TriBridge as a trusted partner for developers nationwide.

Construction is never easy—weather, evolving codes, and jurisdictional differences ensure that challenges are constant. But with leaders like Schoch and Morrow steering the effort, TriBridge faces those challenges with optimism, discipline, and a clear sense of purpose.
“We know our partners, we know their expectations, and we’re committed to helping them succeed,” Morrow says. “If they succeed, we succeed. That’s what drives us every day.”
For Schoch, the rewards of the work go beyond contracts and schedules. Driving past completed projects with her young child in the back seat, she sees not just a building but a legacy of collaboration and commitment.
“One day soon, I’ll take him to a job site,” she says with a smile. “I want him to see what it means to build something that lasts.”
With Schoch and Morrow leading the charge, TriBridge Construction is building more than structures. It builds trust, creates opportunities, and fosters a culture that ensures its continued growth for years to come.
