Additionally, Freeman has overseen the construction of a 121,000 square-foot space at Post Oak Central, an iconic three-building, 1.2 million square foot mixed-use development located on Post Oak Boulevard in the heart of Houston’s Uptown business and entertainment district.

From business to construction leadership

Freeman exemplifies how a diverse career path can lead to success. His journey began with a solid educational foundation: He earned a degree in business from Texas State University and, later, an MBA from the University of Houston.

Freeman’s professional career started in a different field. Initially working in lease management, he gradually took on more responsibilities that morphed into operations. This role required extensive travel, with Freeman on the road nearly every week for seven years, overseeing the opening of new properties. These projects naturally involved significant construction elements, providing him with hands-on experience and a deep understanding of the field.

The turning point came when Freeman decided to stop traveling to pursue his MBA. During this period, there was a growing need for leadership in the construction department at his then-employer, Boxer Property. Recognizing his potential and the skills he had acquired, Freeman stepped into this role, eventually becoming director of construction and space planning. His tenure at Boxer Property lasted nearly 15 years, marked by substantial growth and numerous successful projects.

In November 2019, Freeman joined Parkway, a pivotal move in his career. His expertise and leadership were quickly recognized, leading to his promotion to senior director of construction in July 2023. Freeman has continued to drive excellence in this role, overseeing numerous construction projects and playing a key role in the company’s expansion and success.
